The general aesthetic practice needs to include vein reduction treatment. Many people suffer from unsightly, painful varicose and ugly spider veins. A patient that has untreated unsightly veins are self conscious and disturbed by their situation. Many people may have spider veins but not varicose veins. These spider veins are broken capillaries. Spider veins are smaller, found closer to the skin’s surface and are often red and blue. These conditions can cause the patient pain, ranging from a dull throbbing achy pain to a burning sensation. These types of vein conditions ( spider veins, telangiectasias, hemangiomas, rosacea, varicose) occur in men and women but are more common in women. For many people the vein conditions mentioned are common, mild and medically insignificant, simply a cosmetic concern and are easily treated with laser technoilogy.
An average treatment time should be around 15 to 30 minutes at a cost of $350 to $1,000 per session depending on the number and the size of the veins being treated. Spider veins, telangiectasias, hemangiomas, rosacea and other vascular malformations, are common problems patients all encounter. Laser or light based technologies offer a comfortable, effective and safe method to treat these conditions Broken capillaries and other visible vascular structures will be reduced or eliminated from the visible layers of your skin’s surface with little or no discomfort. Vein reduction works best on small red or purple veins and spider veins, but it can also be effective on medium sized reticular veins. The laser targets the vein causing the blood that is pooled there to heat up, resulting in the destruction of the vein. These unwanted vessels treated by the laser’s energy become less noticeable. All skin areas can be treated. Popular areas are the face, neck, chest and legs. There should be little or no discomfort, however this varies from patient to patient and depends on the depth of the treatment. If the patient experiences minor soreness and bruising it can be treated with over-the-counter, non-aspirin pain relievers as necessary. The patient should not need topical anesthesia.
In this course, you will learn Patient Care (Pre & Post Treatment,), Management of Complications, Vein Reduction treatments on all types of vascular and pigmented lesions more effectively.
